Dr. Lu will be leaving the practice on December 31, 2024. Patient medical records will remain on file with the practice. Patients who wish to obtain a copy of their medical record, should visit the patient center of wildflowerobgyn.com download a Medical Records Release form. The form should be mailed to 1015 E. 32nd Street, Suite 101, Austin, TX 78705 or fax the form to (512) 225-2993. Patients who need assistance in obtaining a Medical Records Release form should call (512) 479-6655.

Board-certified OB/GYN, Dr. Michelle Lu, is thrilled to provide exceptional and patient-centered care to Texas women. She is driven by a commitment to educating and empowering her patients as they navigate all phases of their lives.

Born and raised in the Dallas area, Dr. Lu earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA. She returned to her home state of Texas for her medical training and earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. She then moved on to complete her intern and residency training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL, which serves as the major referral center for patients in the state of Alabama and in the tri-state area. During her time in residency, Dr. Lu received the award for the Best Resident Research for her work on various projects, including one evaluating the use of anticoagulation-based medications in the prevention of obstetric thromboembolism, which has been accepted for publication in Obstetrics & Gynecology (Green Journal), the official publication of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

In her free time, Dr. Lu has enjoyed exploring her new city of Austin with her family, friends, and one rambunctious cat named Bailey.
