Erica C. Garza, M.D.

Dr. Garza received her Bachelor of Biology degree from Texas A&M University in 2006, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During her time there, she received the Texas A&M Dept. of Multicultural Services Academic Excellence Award and was a member of both the Golden Key and Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Societies.

For her medical training, Dr. Garza attended Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. She completed her obgyn residency at Phoenix Integrated Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, St. Joseph Hospital and Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. During her residency, she received multiple awards, including the Award for Excellence in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.

After completion of residency, Dr. Garza completed a two year fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (FMIGS) and Chronic Pelvic Pain at St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center. This surgical training, largely focused on laparoscopic surgery, including DaVinci robotic surgery, afforded her the opportunity to perform more advanced surgery through a minimally invasive approach allowing women to have shorter hospital stays, faster healing times, and return to their regular daily lives faster. Additionally during this time, she also focused on learning and understanding the many different aspects of pelvic pain and ways treat it.

Dr. Garza is a member of several professional organizations, including: American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopy, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Medical Association.

In her free time, Dr. Garza enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, her family and friends, and her dogs. Her hobbies and interests include: traveling, and many outdoor activities such as running and hiking.
