Cindy Mingea, M.D.

Cindy Mingea is dedicated to providing a high standard of care for women. She has been recognized by her peers in Texas Monthly Super Doctors list annually since 2005. She has also been named in The Best Doctors in America and chosen as a Best Doctor in Austin. Dr. Mingea is proud to know that her patients understand how much she cares about their healthcare and their lives.

Dr. Mingea is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and she pursues continuing education courses to keep her skills as up-to-date as possible. She has a special interest in high risk pregnancy and minimally invasive surgery with the DaVinci Robot.

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Mingea graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy with highest honors. She began her medical training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham before transferring to Baylor College of Medicine in the Houston Medical Center where she received her medical degree. Her internship and residency training also took place at Baylor College of Medicine at the Houston Medical Center.

Dr. Mingea also enjoys serving as a mentor in the Neil Kocurek Scholarship Program.

Before joining Wildflower Ob/Gyn as a partner, Dr. Mingea was in private practice in Austin since 1989.

Happily married with three dogs at home, Dr. Mingea also has two young adult daughters who are native Texans and who also live in Austin. In her free time, she is a devoted Auburn Tigers and New Orleans Saints fan and enjoys football season, especially watching SEC teams. Besides football season, Dr. Mingea’s other favorite time of year is Mardi Gras in New Orleans. She belongs to a Mardi Gras Krewe that creates new costumes and participates in parades each year.

If you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms of Covid-19, please call to reschedule your appointment, and contact your primary care provider.

We do have a high risk and immune compromised patient population, so compliance to these guidelines are strictly enforced by our team.
